About 2048 Cupcakes
2048 Cupcakes is a free browser game. It is a dessert-themed version of the sliding-tile puzzle 2048, with twelve cupcakes in place of numbers. This page explains what the site is, how it was made and how its guides are written.

What This Site Is
The site has one game and a set of guides about it. The game runs entirely in your browser, with no download and no account. The guides cover the full cupcake list, how to win, the highest cupcake and score, playing unblocked and similar games.
How the Game Was Made
The game is built with plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, with the cupcake artwork drawn in code and the sounds generated in the browser. It follows the rules of 2048, which was created by Gabriele Cirulli and released in 2014. 2048 Cupcakes is inspired by his game but is a separate project, and it is not affiliated with him or with any other 2048 game.
What is different here is the theme and the scoring. Tiles are cupcakes, and your score counts the Kcal of each cupcake you create. You can play 2048 Cupcakes free in your browser on the homepage.
How the Guides Are Written
Where a guide gives a number, we try to get it from the game itself. For example, the score tables on the highest cupcake page and the strategy results on the how to win page come from playing many simulated games with the game's own rules, and the pages say how each figure was found.
Facts about other games and about the history of 2048 come from public sources, which we link to on the page where we use them.
